What is a Psychic?

A psychic is a person who possesses extra-sensory perception (ESP) or the ability to see or sense things beyond the physical realm. Psychics may use a variety of tools to tap into their abilities, including tarot cards, pendulums, runes, or crystal balls. They believe that they can provide insights into a person’s past, present, or future based on what they perceive through their inner senses.

Psychics typically offer a wide range of services, including psychic readings, Tarot card readings, astrology, numerology, and dream interpretation. They may work in person, over the phone, or online. Some psychics claim to have the ability to communicate with spirits or entities, but this is not a universal trait among psychics.

For centuries, there has been a lot of confusion between the terms ‘psychic’ and ‘medium.’ Both these terms are often used interchangeably, but in reality, they are different in many ways. 

A medium is a person who claims to have the ability to communicate with spirits of the deceased. They believe that they can act as a bridge between the physical world and the afterlife, relaying messages from spirits to their loved ones on earth. Mediums may use a variety of methods to connect with spirits, including clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, or automatic writing.

Mediums typically work in person, as they need to establish a connection with the person who wants to communicate with their loved one in the afterlife. They may offer private sessions or group readings, where several people can receive messages from their deceased loved ones. The goal of a medium is to provide evidence of the afterlife and to help grieving individuals find closure and comfort.

The Difference between Psychics and Mediums:

While both psychics and mediums claim to have supernatural abilities, there are some key differences between them. Here are some of the main differences:

- Abilities: Psychics focus on obtaining information about a person’s present, past, or future through their extra-sensory perception. They may use tools to facilitate this process, but their abilities are not limited to them. Mediums, on the other hand, focus on communicating with spirits of the deceased and relaying messages to their loved ones. Their abilities are more specific than those of psychics.

Mediums, on the other hand, often believe that they are chosen by spirits to act as an intermediary between the living and the dead. They may see their work as a spiritual calling rather than a skill to be honed.

The main difference between a psychic and a medium is their focus and abilities.
